This Indo-Saracenic structure boasts a natural air-conditioning system and houses a rare collection of archaeological and historic. The Japanese shadow play leather figures used to depict the epics of Mahabharata and the Ramayana, are very interesting. A visit to the Napier Museum complex reveals a glimpse of Kerala's rich cultural heritage. An exceptional piece of architecture. The Napier Museum is also called the Government Art Museum.

Zoo And Art Gallery- 15km 30min :

This zoo was really big enough, with its big collection of owls, snakes, Royal Bengal Tiger, Lion, Leopard, Deer, Wild Bull etc. The snake house with its collection of King Cobra and Queen Cobra was also fantastic, keeping in mind the caretaker feeds a rattlesnake every week to these two snakes.

The Kanakakunnu Palace

 The Kanakakkunnu Palace is located in Thiruvananthapuram district in the state of Kerala. The palace and its sprawling grounds are today the venue for many cultural meets and programs. A palace within the Trivandrum city area. Nice place to visit. Frequently various mela is being conducted here. Hence you can utilise that time to visit the palace also.  Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple

Attukal Bhagavathy Temple

This temple shows Pongala the annual festival celebrated at Attukal Bhagavathy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The word Pongala means to boil over and refers to the ritual offering that is most pleasing to the deity - a porridge of rice, sweet brown molasses, coconut gratings, nuts, and raisins. Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium

 Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium is a delight for kids and adults alike. Located in Thiruvananthapuram, this aquarium has an enviable collection of some of the best creatures from under water. The aquarium is also famous for its Image Pearl Production Technique. Using this technique a mould, prepared from shell cement, is introduced into the pearl oyster. After a couple of months the pearl acquires the shape of the mould and is extracted from the oyster

Lighthouse Beach

Lighthouse Beach, a long stretch of sand, is located along the Malabar Coast. Out of the three beaches of Kovalam, this beach is the largest. At the southern end of this beach, stands a 30 metre high lighthouse. The lighthouse has an observation platform, which can be reached by climbing 142 steps. Tourists can get a view of Beemapalli Mosque in one direction and Poovar on the other. Water sports like swimming, parasailing and surfing can be enjoyed at this beach.

Hawa Beach

Hawa Beach, popularly known as Eve's Beach.This is the most popular of the three beaches of Kovalam. This beach lies opposite to Lighthouse Beach and is full of palm groves. Swimming is not preferred at this beach as the currents are quite strong. Tourists can be seen sunbathing and getting herbal massages at this beach. Catamaran rides can also be availed at Hawa Beach.

The Parasurama Temple at Thiruvallam is located 7 km from Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala.
